Zu - Warriors From The Magic Mountain (DTS Version) (Digitally Remastered)

A fantasy epic detailing the plight of ordinary humans thrust into a supernatural battle of the gods, Zu stars Yuen Biao as Ti Ming Chi, a faceless soldier caught in pointless battles between warring Chinese clans. While escaping into the Zu Mountains, Ming Chi meets up with master swordsman Ting Yin (Adam Cheng), and somehow gets dragged on a dangerous quest to seek out the legendary Twin Swords. The swords may be the only weapons capable of stopping an all-consuming ancient evil, that until now has only been held in check by the venerable Long Brows (Sammo Hung). Their journey brings them many challenges and allies, including bumbling monks Hsiao Yu and Yi Chen (Damian Lau and Mang Hoi), and the Countess (Brigitte Lin), the powerful mistress of the Jade Pool Fairy Fortress. But when Ting Yin gets possessed by the evil, it's up to the relatively ordinary Ming Chi and Yi Chen to complete the master's quest, and wield the Twins Swords for the good of all humanity!

Acrobatic action sequences, a host of Hong Kong Cinema stars, and Tsui Hark's infectiously energetic direction has made Zu - Warriors From the Magic Mountain a timeless audience favorite. But it's really the complex, wildly entertaining story and the unprecedented use of special effects that have raised the film to classic Hong Kong Cinema status! Zu would go on to become one of Tsui Hark's signature works, and paved the way for The Legend of Zu, a stunning 2001 sequel that revisited the magical mountain with spectacular, updated digital effects!

Legend Of Yung Ching I & II (DVD)

1997 Taiwan television series Legend of Yung Ching is a showcase of dazzling star power and engrossing historical drama. Headlining the production is Hong Kong wuxia drama hero Adam Cheng, who gives a multi-layered portrayal of Emperor Yongzheng (also romanized as Yung Ching) from his youthful days as a prince to his midlife years on the throne of the Manchurian Chinese Empire. Cheng is surrounded by an equally breathtaking cast including Shaw Brothers villain Chan Hung Lit as Emperor Kangxi, action queen Jade Leung, hunky movie star Mark Cheng, Tiffany Liu, Howie Huang, and Mainland actor Huang Haibing.
Produced by Chou Ling Kang (Xi Shuo Qian Long) and Ju Jueliang (Huo Yuan Jia), the epic saga comes in two parts to tell a riveting tale of royal intrigues and civilian rebellion during the heyday of Qing Dynasty. Part I follows the struggle for the crown between Kangxi's fourth son (Adam Cheng) and 14th son (Huang Yingxun). Part II details Yongzheng's rise to absolute power, and his love-hate relationship with female assassin Lu Si-niang (Jade Leung), whose entire clan was ordered death by him.

Five Easy Pieces Part I & II (18 VCDs)

Five Easy Pieces may be a long-lasting regret to TVB, to actors and actresses of this drama, and to producer Kam Kwok Leung. This drama, meant to be a 60-episode series, was first broadcast on August 4, 1980, about a Shanghainese family living in Hong Kong and its ups and downs from the post war period to supposedly the 80s. Unfortunately, at the time when Five Easy Pieces was shown, its ratings were not satisfactory and TVB made a reluctant decision to cut this the length by half.
This is a typical case of a drama too far ahead of its time. Apart an excellent script, the drama also stars the most popular artists in the 80s, namely Adam Cheng, Louise Lee, Dodo Cheng, Sum Sum, Lee Lam Lam, Deanie Ip, Danny Chan, and George Lam. Producer Kam Kwok Leung was, and still is, renowned for his wits in creating stories of diversified topics and making exquisite portrays of characters in dramas. His assistant director, Wong Kar Wai, is now one of the world's most famous and creative directors. With a strong cast and a superb production team, Five Easy Pieces should have turned out a great success. However, perhaps due to Kam Kwok Leung's unique style, this masterpiece did not attain the level of popularity it ought to have reached back then. Now, TVB finally releases the DVD version of its first 30 episodes, offering a good opportunity for all its fans to cherish the memory of this long lost treasure.

The Conqueror's story Part I (4 DVDs)
After the death of China's first emperor, Qinshihuang, the Qin Dynasty fell into rapid decline as the vast empire reverted to warlordism. The struggle for sovereignty eventually came down to a battle of wits and weapons between Xiang Yu, Overlord of the Western Chu (Xichu Bawang), and Liu Bang, the King of Han, in what came to be called the Chu-Han contention.
The Conqueror's story breathes life into the fabled historical figures. Evergreen hero Adam Cheng aptly portrays the tumultuous epic life of peasant-turned-emperor Liu Bang, who would eventually found Han Dynasty. Kwong Wa cuts a charismatic portrait of the ruthless, yet tragic Xiang Yu.
